A research assistant is sought for a project examining wartime propaganda publications during the Japanese occupation of the Philippines. This project aims to gather and analyze primary and secondary source materials related to this period.
Responsibilities:
- Data gathering of relevant primary materials (e.g., wartime publications, government documents) from libraries and archives.
- Data gathering of relevant secondary materials (e.g., academic articles, books, and other relevant publications).
- Organization and preliminary annotation of collected data.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a humanities or social science-related graduate program (Master’s or Doctoral level).
- Demonstrated interest in wartime and/or postwar Philippine history.
- Preferably, experience with research related to the Japanese occupation of the Philippines.
- Familiarity with relevant libraries and archives in the Philippines.
- Strong research and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Project Period:
April 15, 2025 – July 2025 (approximately three months)
Compensation:
60,000 PHP, distributed based on the completion of agreed-upon milestones and deliverables. Specific milestones and deliverables will be discussed and finalized with the selected candidate.
